How to spam someone using Facebook
Here is the (redacted) body of a message I have just sent Facebook regarding a rather bizarre spamming incident.
---
I have chosen this option because I can't find anything that covers the strange situation I find myself in.
On the 9th of February I received an email to my gmail account (*@gmail.com) from Facebook in Portuguese. Allowing Google to translate it revealed that it was an activation email for someone called Odilon Filho.
At the time I left it alone because it seemed suspicious, but over following days I received more emails, some reminding me to activate the account and some informing me of potential connections. Out of curiosity I clicked the link on the original email, containing the activation code, and was taken to the standard Facebook login page. Obviously I cannot attempt to login to that account as I do not have the password, but also, the original registrant cannot confirm the account because the will not have received the registration code.
The time period to confirm the account has now expired, but I am still being spammed with Portuguese Facebook messages that I do not want, and there does not appear to be any way to stop them.
Is there anything you can do to help with this? It seems to be a bit of a security issue that someone can potentially register someone else on Facebook without their knowledge and then cause them to be continually spammed with no recourse to stop it.
Regards

Has anyone else ever heard of such a thing happening?
