And when you have the outside offer and talk about it, you shatter any remaining trust your bosses have in you, so you'd better take the offer.
This right there is the dilemma.
Does anyone have any solutions to it?
- gadders 13y agoNope. I think the accepted wisdom is not to take a competing offer from a current employer. 99 times out of 100 they will resent having their hand forced, and you'll be first out of the door when they get a chance. The solution is for management to not be cheap.
