The evolutionary puzzle of homosexuality
- m0llusk 13y agoThis article seems to avoid the most basic explanations. Human sexuality is complicated and not yet fully understood. Homosexuality could simply be a slight variation of the usual components of human sexuality. Evolution is about the effect on reproduction, but this is extremely complex to estimate because not breeding can enable members of a society to help others raise children and handle other challenges as well. Evolution in primates may seem to be about selecting individuals, but may in practice be more about selection of shared social behavior.
