To me, even if it's the same price or costs more, cutting the cord is worth it because a) you aren't giving all of the money to the cable company - some goes directly to the content providers and b) you get the same content without ads! So yeah, I'll save the $10/mo on basic cable and pay Netflix $8/mo just because it's that much less for the cable company, plus no ads!
