It sounds like all he's complaining about is that iTunes plugins don't execute in a separate address space from iTunes itself, which is hardly unusual for most applications that have a plugin architecture. Maybe I am missing something. The amount of hand wringing and hyperbole implies a much worse issue but I don't see what it is.
