This is essentially how my partner and I have divided up housework -- the person whose requirements for "done" are a superset of the other's does the chore. Fortunately we're fairly balanced in that regard.
- eru 13y agoOh, the power of low standards?
- sliverstorm 13y agoNo, the other way around. The one who is pickier about dishwashing, washes the dishes.
- lutorm 13y agoDoesn't that have the unfortunate side effect of making the person who is already more annoyed at the state of things even more annoyed at always having to fix them?
- sliverstorm 13y agoI wouldn't think so, at least in an ongoing plan. For example, I tend to load the dishwasher because many people I've lived with are not good at loading it for best cleaning. So long as I'm not doing everything else as well, it doesn't bother me.
- eru 13y agoYes. But there's an incentive with that system to turn into a total sloth.
