Hey man, I feel ya. Some jobs are fucking thankless. I'm in one myself and I think it comes from being lead by people who don't respect and acknowledge how positively you are impacting your company. My guess is that you don't respect your company leaders either. But look around. I think you'll see that a lot of your coworkers are in the same place. I blame bad management. My advice, either demand respect or go find people who you respect and who respect what you do. Then find a way to work with them.
