I don't think the Times would have dared post such a "story" by a male writer. "Sexist"? Well, maybe "sexploitationist"...
It all seems like marketing to the LCD to me: combine "hot new tech issues" with "hot young females" -- and continue the shallow entertainment that (hopes to) bring in the viewers who can't be bothered with clever dialogue or challenging story lines.
