- dpeck 13y agoNationality can be chosen by people like Nobel Laureates who can move anywhere, for most people they're more or less stuck where they started unless they get lucky in a lottery
- Aloisius 13y agoThe gentleman was not a Nobel laureate at the time of course. He came here for his graduate degree and stayed. But you're right, unless you happen to be born gifted or are exceptionally driven (to the point where you'd migrate illegally for instance), you're stuck.
