I am not a lawyer, not even close; but isn't this systematic destruction of a person's image illegal? Libel (2,3,5)? Stalking (8)? Etc?

    Yes, but what about: 3. putting together a team of over 100 people, including 25 professors, to act as "spokespeople on Hayes" 5. getting paid scientists to write op-eds accusing Hayes of being a "junk scientist"
