Certainly it could be an interesting phenomenon, but as written it is not really scientific as it doesn't have a very large sample size and seems to only discuss a single site's usage. While one may be able to extrapolate correct interpretations that is not a guarantee that future extrapolations will be representative or correct. What if there's just a time delay? Maybe Netflix increases discussions but delays them a year.
