This is a great idea for folks in urban spaces. We live in the suburbs and did something similar for about a year. My wife and I both work from home full time, and when our second daughter was born, we had an in-home nanny take care of her for the first year. We could take regular breaks during the day to visit with her, check in with the nanny, and help out with a feeding or two.
