I agree with everyone that's saying that you should focus on developing her problem solving skills instead of pushing her to program. At this point you don't know whether she will want to become a programmer or not. Problem solving skills are applicable to any career so why not teach her something that would make her a better person (and maybe a better programmer someday)? I have heard of http://www.goldieblox.com/ http://www.goldieblox.com/ as a great way to get girls interested in engineering early on :)
