Ask HN: Any privacy issues with OVH (SoYouStart.com)?

As almost everyone witnessed the past couple of days, OVH came out with pretty competing dedicated offer through SoYouStart.com. They're currently offering servers in France and Canada. My question is: should anyone be cautious with them concerning privacy? Can they be trusted on both locations that there won't be any hidden NSA (or similar agency) device scooping all/random data? Since the whole Snowden affair, I'm doing my best to move away from any USA related/hosted service. Not because I need to be anonymous, but because I want to control my own personal data as much as I can. Canada even seems to have cheaper prices than FR (re. sys.com), but being closer to USA, I believe there could be a greater chance of having ones data compromised. Is that true? Thanks all in advance.
