I tried to understand your question but I'm sorry - I don't think I understand what you are asking. Can you be more explicit?
- ddorian43 13y agoI think every social site has underdelivered on revenue/profit. Basically from a business perspective (not get rich from being sold to another company/ipo) they all suck. Am i right?
- ScottWhigham 13y agoThat's such a broad question. In order to answer it, I'd need to discuss each and every "social site". Hell, I don't know every social site. And my definition of what is and what is not a "social site" might differ from yours. Is LinkedIn a social site? What about Constant Contact?
- ddorian43 13y agoFacebook,twitter,myspace,reddit,digg,tumblr,linkded-in... Why would ConstantContact be a social site???
- ScottWhigham 13y agoI guarantee you that CC wants you to think of them as a social site! Whenever you try to pin down a buzzword, you'll find people on all sides saying they are/aren't part of it.
- ddorian43 13y agoIf YOU think they are fine. But they can say whatever. Back to the original quesiton?
- ScottWhigham 13y agoThe software won't let me reply at the other level so I'll do it here: If YOU think they are fine. But they can say whatever. Back to the original quesiton? Sorry - I thought I'd said it before but, upon re-reading, I didn't: I can't answer the question because it is too broad in its current form. I don't know "every social site" and I don't know that we can agree on what a "social site" is/does. As such, it's a futile discussion. If, for example, I choose to focus on G+, I might spend 20 minutes on a reply for you to say, "Yeah, but that's G+ - no one but Google employees are using that so it doesn't count. I'm talking about real social sites." Blah - no thanks. I'm being generic, of course - for all I know, you are part of the G+ brigade. I'm just pointing out the (obvious) risk of investing a lot of time in a vague thread.
