Why Is Cosmos Blocked in the US on Youtube?
Youtube is telling me episode two of Carl Sagan's Cosmos contains content from EMI or SME (?). Does anyone know whats going on?
- doubt_me 13y agoBecause of the content ID system. Welcome to youtube
- seanysean 13y agoThis video contains content from SME, EMI Music Publishing and eOne, one or more of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. Actually because content owners wished it that way. As to what ContentID does it fingerprints copyrighted content and notifies the copyright owners, they then choose which action to take. It's what keeps youtube in compliance with the law.
