Fortunately git also makes it fairly easy to test only those changes that you've staged:
$ git stash --keep-index
$ <compile/run tests>
$ git commit
$ git stash pop
- pyre 13y agoYou might want to add this option: -u / --include-untracked You're not testing only the index if you have untracked files lying around (which could possibly affect things). (Presumably you don't need to use --all because you're only ignoring files that don't affect things :P).
