Every time I read about Mongo I think of http://mongodb-is-web-scale.com http://mongodb-is-web-scale.com That said, if your project doesn't store extremely important data and needs to be quick to write Mongo's an OK choice. Of course, even though it's much easier to use than other databases at first, if you later want to make sure your data doesn't disappear it's a total PITA.
