I usually do this end of the day, just throw in some pseudo code for what I want to accomplish the next day. In the case of Rails I still have to learn about everything, so it is really easy to adhere to this practice :) However it is a bit conflicting, I don't necessarily want to commit this stuff, but I always want to push my work in case of disaster.
