Tcl is the scripting language i hate the least. The string / macro / lispy syntax paradigm works great for driving sql and simple guis. You trade macro hassles like quoting for anti-macro hassles like inheritance or complex parameter specs, but engineering = tradeoffs... And if you need something compex, do it C for chrissakes. EDIT: And event loops are beautiful!
