No it isn't. <s> Of course it is easy to find a spouse that supports you, buy a house you can rent easily (wonder what will happen when the tenant leaves), have a nest egg ready so you can afford to not have a living salary. </s> Most people, even in their 20's can't really easily afford to not have a salary unless they have the support of someone else (parents, spouse, family, etc). Making it seem like it is easy is what people are complaining about.
