I'd go so far as to say all companies balance this act. A company can implode at any stage of its life. See: Nokia, Blackberry, etc.

- cpach 13y agoGood point. But for example, in 2007 I’d say Blackberry were miles and not inches from death. They could probably have steered in another direction.
