If the worker in question accepted the offer, then if seems that the pay was appropriate.
- phaus 13y agoThat's a ridiculous statement. I recently took a job that pays 15% less than I was making, which was already much lower than I should be making, because it was either that or have my family get evicted from our home when we can't afford to pay rent. Just because someone is getting screwed doesn't mean they can avoid it. I'll definitely be looking for something better, but until I find it I don't really have any good options. I'm sure someone trying to leave India is in a similar situation.

- alexeisadeski3 13y agoMany people work in the US for far less than $50k/yr and have enough left over for remittances.
