How would universal healthcare reduce politics, bureaucracy or mismanagement? I'm sympathetic to arguments for universal healthcare but after the way the ACA was both designed and implemented I have little confidence our leaders wouldn't make things even worse. I'm sure many people share this view. The key lasting impact of the ACA may turn out to be delaying more meaningful reform of our broken healthcare system for decades.
