Reading this just makes me feel all the happier that my usual commute it is a 15 minute walk along the Amsterdam canals. (Although currently that is extended with, the horror, a 10 minute tram ride.) I gladly pay the price for that in terms of less space for more money. At least have the time to enjoy being home, and not be exhausted or asleep while I'm there.
