- yen223 13y agoFrom a cold, dispassionate economic point of view, you "invest" 18-25 years worth of blood, sweat, love, and tears raising your children. In return, they will start supporting you once they're capable of generating more than enough income to sustain themselves, hopefully before your retirement years.
