In 2007 I had the idea to use my 28" flatscreen TV as a monitor, took me three days before I had terrible eye strain/migraines/light sensitivity.

It's fantastic being able to tune the brightness to the ambient light in the room (as well as save on battery life.) I really don't care about 4K, I want a monitor that's got a wide range of brightness levels with the same integration with my Ubuntu workstation that that netbook has with its integrated screen. (I plug it in and the OS immediately knows how to communicate with the monitor to adjust the brightness based on a keystroke. )
