Maybe a job, or some respect, or hell maybe my own company doing more software like it."--- I'd agree with "none whatsoever" ... I'm sure he has plenty of respect ... but to take advantage of that respect you still have to go out and market/network yourself to take advantage (or have someone help you do so if that's not your thing). I'm sure it looks great on a resume.
