Instead of overanalyzing procrastination, he identifies the invisible but real force of Resistance and how to deal with it.

- jongold 13y agoIf you liked that, check out his follow up - Turning Pro. I read the second book first & loved it; thought The War of Art was a liiiittle bit self-helpy. What I took away from those two books were that the /only thing/ that will help you is sitting your ass in the chair and doing the fucking work.
- kroger 13y agoThanks for the recommendation, I'm reading it now and I'm liking it so far (I've read "Do the Work" and I didn't like it as much). I agree that The War of Art is a little bit self-helpy, but I got a lot of value from the other non-self-helpy part.
