I like the linked site, personally. I've always liked big huge readable text and will zoom or text zoom a site to make it so. That said, I do think it is tougher to scan his site for relevant headings/navigation/etc. that I want to interact with. The text is just so huge and there's nothing else and even just quick checking the headings you have to scroll a lot. Smaller text would allow more glance-ability.
