Why is that?

  The vast majority of Americans have their "desktop at home" connected to crappy DSL or Cable connections with even crappier upload speeds. Trying to browse your photo collection over a 1Mbps connection ain't fun.

    Which is why I was wondering why OP asked the question: Only if bandwidth, latency, and network connectivity are an issue. Perhaps he meant "...are NOT an issue." ???
