This is a great point that I realized that when I sat down to write up a solution myself. The video-explanation-version of coding it up for the CFI course ended up being 60 minutes long. Suspect when it does get asked in an interview context they might only want to see some of your problem solving process and algorithm devising, not a full code-up.
