You, too, can experience flying without security: Get a sport pilot license and a used airplane for $20k or so.
Of course, you'll be much more limited by weather than a transport-class aircraft.
- MartinCron 13y agoI took a small commuter plane from Seattle to Portland and it was the best time flying I've ever had. Free parking at Boeing field, free coffee in a quaint little terminal, walk right onto the plane, enjoy a short flight, and then walk right to the light rail station. I guess I also need to point out that I didn't die on that trip. Not even once.
