Honest question: Why? Why are you attempting to make a Twitter clone? (I'm genuinely curious)

It's a Laconica install. This is pointless. It's like saying, "Checkout my StackOverflow clone" and then linking to a phpBB install.

Here's a twitter clone idea you can steal: a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: Why are you attempting to make a Twitter clone (today)?

Sounds like Yammer.com, which is Twitter aimed at internal business teams.
