Info is horrible. Case in point:

Gawk info (in html): http://www.gnu.org/software/gawk/manual/gawk.html http://www.gnu.org/software/gawk/manual/gawk.html
Both fully describe the capabilities of the software without resorting to compressing it.
Elegance in simplicity.
