- orik 13y ago16:9 has won, and will continue to be the standard for some time. Get the Cannon 4096x2560 or the Chrome Pixel if you need something closer to square.
- marshray 13y ago"In November 2013, Canon entered a new market: high-resolution display monitors. The new 4K Reference Monitor, the DP-V3010, a 30-inch 4K IPS LCD flat panel display, is priced at $40,000 and will be available in the first quarter of 2014." Chrome Pixel isn't even a monitor. Your advice is not at all helpful.
- marshray 13y agoActually I still miss 4:3.
- RexRollman 13y agoI personally love my 1280x1024 desktop LCD screen. I am going to hate it when that thing dies.
- pcunite 13y agoSame here ... 24" 16:9 displays are for who? I work with my display, not gaming or movie reviewing.
- downer87 13y ago...and besides, any self-respecting movie buff knows that all the best movies are shot in anamorphic widescreen, with no less than a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
- drifkin 13y agoThey're starting to get closer to that ratio now: http://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-u2913wm/pd http://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-u2913wm/pd
