I realize the competition wasn't the main point of the article, but: "In distant last place came the ground coffee I had brought, a very good quality, single-estate bean, but not roasted for espresso and ground four days earlier, a little too coarsely for Bruno’s machine." Bringing not roasted for espresso coffee to espresso competition makes me wonder what was the purpose of the competition. Why not to bring something that had the characteristics of a winning coffee.
