Except you're already immune to fraud/theft because your bank has a Zero Fraud Liability policy. The security of your credit card number is quite simply not your problem. It's up to the people who actually are on the hook to fix the infrastructure, and so far they still find it cheaper to eat the losses than to upgrade security.
