Ask HN: do you sign unlimited liability clauses (patent trolls)?
Lots of large companies still try to make consultants sign unlimited (in time and amount) liability clauses, which is particularly concerning when you consider patent trolls.
There's practically zero defense against patent trolls and zero cost to them to sue your client, and zero cost to your client to make you pay. Even 20 years after the fact in the case of these unlimited clauses.
Any tips on how to handle these situations?
