This is stupid on US' part. Diplomats are provided bilateral immunity under Vienna Convention, and they can not be arrested like this. There are many US diplomats in India violating Indian laws, India is not arresting them like this. Moreover, I don't see US arresting and treating millions of south-american illegal immigrants and their employers like this.
