Oops. Landing page font is almost unreadable in Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 (Windows XP)
- uno7 13y agoLooks great in FF windows 7
- Ygg2 13y agoLooks the same in FF as in Chrome (missing parts).
- pistle 13y ago"Who dragged a pencil eraser down my screen???!!! Oh... WTF?"
- RALaBarge 13y agoI came here to report the same thing. http://i.imgur.com/Htq6JIK.png http://i.imgur.com/Htq6JIK.png
- martin-adams 13y agoYup Chrome not so good, Firefox seems fine.
- BadassFractal 13y agoIs that the infamous issue that requires you to reorder font type imports in your CSS? I've seen this many times on Win7 in Chrome.
- edwardy20 13y agoChrome works for me. (Version 31.0.1650.63 on Ubuntu 13.10)
- dangrossman 13y agoIt's only an issue on Windows because Chrome uses GDI to render text there, instead of DirectWrite like Firefox/IE use.
- maxerickson 13y agoA lot of the text looks bad in Firefox on XP.
- dangrossman 13y agoBecause Firefox also used GDI on XP. It doesn't on newer versions of Windows.
- SiVal 13y agoWhat's the workaround for this problem? This is the first I've heard of it, and it looks pretty bad.
- 34otkpgk35p5okg 13y agoDump windows.
- buugs 13y agoTest on windows? A lot of thin fonts look bad in Windows especially chrome. So you could probably make a safe bet that if a font is thin on OSX then it will be much thinner (sometimes unreadable) on Windows. If you want to use thin fonts only use them for the titles (but even here it looks like that causes problems).
- franksmule 13y agoMe too Chrome Version 32.0.1700.41 m Aura Win8 - Hard to read fonts
- Kronopath 13y agoSame here on Windows 7: http://i.imgur.com/i5GwqIN.png?1 http://i.imgur.com/i5GwqIN.png?1 "Variablcs"?
- 34otkpgk35p5okg 13y agoIf you use Windows, you deserve it.
- jahewson 13y agoThe solution to this problem is to serve your web fonts as SVG to Chrome on Windows, or hint your web font with ttfautohint.
- Raphmedia 13y agoPretty bad for a product aimed at front-end guys.
