This is true, they are better than Jersey Shore. I have noticed that the local PBS station runs a bunch of program in the evenings that are very much like TED talks. Most of them are doctors talking about health and nutrition. If you look at TED as a new form of TV channel that runs on Internet TV (rather than broadcast TV), then it makes more sense.
