I'm almost a bit disappointed I missed out on those days. Having to code like that probably would've taught me several useful lessons.
- royjacobs 13y agoWell, you can still relive some of this by writing code to target an emulator or, more modern, an ARM chipset. Also, the quality of tools nowadays is so much better than what you would've used back then. So much so, in fact, that these old machines could even become pretty useful as a learning tool since they're (relatively) simple and allow much easier testing and debugging since they can be used effectively as some kind of VM.
