Apathy toward drone "signature strikes" is a "Yes, Sir" to striking and killing exactly where the results machine wishes. The results machine does not have human well-being programmed as a core, infallible rule. That means that mistakes like collateral human damage are not seen as mistakes at all, they are part of getting results. Trusting any machine we've built to probe and manipulate the earth to meet any end other than human growth and good is very scary and selfish. Apathy is the new allegiance toward our scary and selfish state.
