Comes up first for me - https://www.google.com/#q=portrait+quilts https://www.google.com/#q=portrait+quilts
Edit: HA! Sorry, it's an ad! I thought it was the first organic result but it was actually the second ad!
I can barely perceive that shade of yellow indicating that it's an ad. Took two or three takes.
- pflats 13y agoDoesn't come up on page 1 at all for me for photo or portrait quilts. edit: An ad for portraitquilts.com shows up first in the ads sidebar, though.
- toll 13y agoIt isn't in the search results for me, but there is an ad for portraitquilts.com. So i guess they bit the bullet and paid for advertising.
- 3JPLW 13y agoIt's an ad for me. Of course, Google's been doing all it can to make ads look like organic results. Looks like she bought into the protection racket.
- mynameishere 13y agoMaybe you're being funny, but it's scary to think that google has a quiet policy of letting businesses develop revenues through organic search and then intentionally changing the algos.
- EliRivers 13y agoIt's often interesting to perform the same search on google.com using different proxies. Sometimes I get things in my proxied results that don't turn up in my unproxied (and vice-versa).
- brent_noorda 13y agoIt came up for me in the adwords section, either at the top or on the right, for the first two pages. But I scrolled through five pages of results and in never came up as an "organic" result.
- cbhl 13y agoI wonder if this is the result of Google trying to deduplicate results that both show up organically and in Adwords.
