It would be ideal, but the government has no money, and cities are going bankrupt. I would think some sort of tax incentives (or other something) for on job training, make hiring cheaper/easier or moving offshore jobs to local would be the better solutions.
- talmand 13y agoTrue, usually only the federal government can support such projects because they print their money whenever it is needed. Tax incentives only go so far because the cost of having jobs local go beyond just those taxes. Payroll and its associated taxes can be expensive. Those tax incentives would have to somehow offset those costs as well.
