- stefan_kendall 13y agoI believe OP could mean emigrate alone or immigrate with an implied "to a better place than where he is." You emigrate from, and he didn't mention where he was from. Or the difference doesn't matter, because any large group of English speaking people will only use the word "immigrate" exclusively.
