You were proven wrong in the 70s. Your understanding of protein is effectively nonexistent. Rice protein contains all essential amino acids. You do not need to combine it with anything. You simply need to eat enough of it so that you get enough of the amino acid it contains the least of. Protein labeling requirements already account for amino acid profiles, and as such 10g of protein in a food is going to be at least 10g of usable protein for a human being, regardless of the source of protein.
- anonymoushn 13y agoDo you have a citation for the requirement that labels underreport protein mass? It would be surprising to me if you could not actually discover the macronutrient balance of a food by looking at the label.
- asdasf 13y agoYou do discover the macros from the label, that's the point. They measure usable protein, not amino acids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_Digestibility_Corrected_Amino_Acid_Score http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_Digestibility_Corrected...
