Since diamonds can easily be industrially synthesized, it's not a finite resource nor a good example for bitcoin, the usual analogy is digital gold.
- thaumasiotes 13y agoDiamonds can be synthesized by well-understood processes, but "easily" might be pushing things a little; synthetic diamonds aren't (just) expensive because of the artificially high price for natural ones.
