I started doing Pomodoros [1] recently and I noticed a leap in my productivity. It also helps me to refresh my mind regularly and to stay focused on my tasks more easily.

- chatmasta 13y agoHave you found a good mac app for this? I've tried a few but haven't gotten a good one yet.
- zuccs 13y agoThere's some decent Chrome apps for it.
- josh-wrale 13y agoI like http://tomatoi.st http://tomatoi.st
- anom987 13y agoI used this one some time ago https://github.com/ggustafsson/Tim https://github.com/ggustafsson/Tim
- house9-2 13y agoI built a cheesy cross platform app a few years ago: http://jessehouse.com/blog/2010/06/01/pomodoro-timer-application/ http://jessehouse.com/blog/2010/06/01/pomodoro-timer-applica... not sure if it qualifies as "a good mac app"
- thirdtruck 13y agoSeconded on pomodoros. I can credit it with getting me through seven novel drafts, through a successful Kickstarter campaign, and even with helping me find this new, much better-paying job.
- nested 13y agoI'll third this. Best part about pomodoro? How easy it is to begin using it!! You don't need a lengthy book or a long lesson. It is just as simple as using the damn timer. I don't know why I became lazy and stopped using it. When I tried it for a week I was definitely at a higher bound of productivity for my school work. Totally helped me to gain more time to focus on my own projects. Time to start up again.
- thirdtruck 13y agoAnything you can do to reduce friction could help. I'm going to try this app out today: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pebble.pomodoro&hl=en https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pebble.pomodor....
